Do you want to do something a bit more relaxing and enjoy the white winter landscape in peace during your holidays in Kitzbühel | Kirchberg? Then we would like to give you our tip for unwinding and enjoying a slower pace away from all the skiing and snowboarding action: winter hiking at its best. There are no special requirements for winter hiking – just set off and discover the glorious world of winter.
The most beautiful winter and snowshoe hikes
Re-discover winter by hiking through the wonderful countryside – winter and snowshoe hiking – these are trends that continue.
Equipment for snowshoe hikes is available in all sports shops.
Enjoy a magnificent high-altitude hike on the safe winter hiking path as far as the Hochbrunn mountain inn with many options for a refreshment stop.
Ascend on the Hahnenkammbahn cable car and start at the Hochkitzbühel Restaurant. Hiking time approx. 45 minutes; further information at the Hahnenkammbahn ticket office.
You will be enchanted by a fantastic panoramic view over the Kitzbühel Alps right through to the Wilder Kaiser, Grossglockner, Grossvenediger. Take advantage of the convenient ascent on the Hornbahn cable car as far as the mid-station. From there continue either on the Gipfelbahn lift to the Gipfelhaus or take Section 2 straight to the Alpenhaus. From here the Alpenhaus gondola lift whisks you up to the Trattalmulde, right in the heart of the winter paradise. We recommend taking the new winter hiking trail to the viewing platform on the “Wilden Hag”.
