The three villages Mittersill-Hollersbach-Stuhlfelden are situated in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, between the the scenic Kitzbühel Alps in the North and the mighty Hohe Tauern mountain range in the South.
Mittersill lives up to its reputation not only because of its central location in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park Holiday Region, but also because it’s the base of administration for the national park and the largest and most modern national park exhibition centres, the National Park Worlds.
Mittersill-Hollersbach-Stuhlfeden is truly an El Dorado for cross-country skiing enthusiasts, whether their interests are classic cross country or skating as a hobby or rare high- powered sports fanatics – its features range from the gentle charm of the Pinzga cross-country course in the valley, via the artificially snow-covered Blizzard cross-country course (illuminated at night and situated in Mittersill’s town centre), right through to the challenging Hochmoor cross-country course.
The Kitzbühel Alp’s panoramic-view cable car takes you from the valley station in Hollersbach directly into the Resterkogel mountain station. There the Kitzbühel skiing area awaits you, with 234 km of pistes descentsto the highest standards, the Hanglalm snow park, atmospheric traditional-style huts and lovely restaurants!
In our region you experience a new dimension in ski safari. Starting from Hollersbach, you reach the Kitzbühel Streif without having to take your skis off. A particular highlight is the journey on the tricable areal ropeway – a ride where you are suspended 400 meters above the ground.
